Statement
of College and the Cavaliers and Dames of Confraternity of the Order of St. Stanislaus in Warsaw regarding Resolution No. 2 / 2010 of 05 March 2010
Confraternity of the Order of St.. Stanislaw Warsaw notes with regret that situation in Order is abnormal and creates serous threat to the authority throughout the organization. We hope for rapid and definitive settlement of the conflict between Sept. Grand Master - Zbigniew Jan Potocki, and set up by the August Grand Master - Julius News Sokolnicki, Regency Council. Please note that the Order set May 7 1765r. by Polish King Stanislaw August Poniatowski and renewed after the 62-year period of inactivity on 9 June 1979 by Julius Sokolnicki confirmed by his history charitable intentions of the Order’s Knights and Dames. It is a source of inspiration for the charity for every human being sensitive to the suffering people of modern Europe and the world. Assocation under the name „Confraternity Order of St. Stanislaus in Warsaw” is a secular organization for charitable and benevolent, and supporting the growing vaule of the humanities and humanistic values.
The basis of the Confraternity is the "Law on Associations" and the laws of the Republic of Poland. It is based on statutes enacted on May 8th 2001 and act as an independent and legally established body. Confraternity’s authorities are the democratically elected Chapter with the Prior, as its chairman. Our confraternity focuses primarily on charitable activities. It also creates equal opportunities for each member and each initiative, and, in this regard, shuns any barriers to national, religious, political, wealth and status. We hope that all disputes and misunderstandings will be clarified as soon as possible, because current situation undermines and discourages activities of Dames and Knights, who want to promote the noble ideas of the Order of St. Stanislaus in Poland and abroad. According to the principle of "consensus builds, and the discord ruins" we urge the parties of the conflict to reconciliation, recognizing the achievements of many years of Order of St.. Stanislaus’s activity.
